2019 Asia Pacific Forum Meeting

Monday-Thursday, February 18-21 2019
Puri Saron Hotel, Seminyak, Bali Indonesia

Where & When

The 2019 Asia Pacific Forum meeting will be held from Monday the 18th of February to Thursday the 21st of February, at the Puri Saron Hotel, Seminyak, Bali Indonesia.

Hotel Bookings

The Admin Committee will make hotel bookings on behalf of all Delegates and APF trusted servants, based on the information received in the Participants Request Form.

For all other visitors: We have negotiated a preferred room rate for any additional visitors, observers or attendees wishing to attend or to stay on for the convention.  Email reservation@purisaronseminyak.com and use the Promo-code APFCNA2.

Participants Information

The Participation Request Form is the primary way we collect information from participants regarding travel, accommodation, funding and more.  Based on that information, we will be in contact with participants to finalise arrangements for funding, visas, flights and airport transfers.

The form has previously been sent out via the APF list to all RDs, RD Alts, Workgroup participant and Trusted Servants.

Please click here to access the Participant Request Form.

Agenda

The 2019 agenda is being developed and will be circulated to the APF email list as soon as the draft is ready, this will probably be in January.

Elections

Elections will take place at the Bali meeting for the following positions:

  • Treasurer

  • Fellowship Development Co-ordinator

  • Women's Fellowship Development Co-ordinator

  • Merchandise Chair

  • Newsletter Editor

  • PR Co-ordinator

Please note: the election for the Zonal Delegate is NOT taking place during our meeting in Bali. This position was first established in 2017 with an online election taking place.  Since then the World Service Conference has passed several motions relevant to the role. Further discussion is needed with delegates to clarify the criteria, roles and responsibilities of the position.  An election process similar to the one in 2017 is likely.

If you are interested in serving APF in any of these roles, please download the service resume form (as pdf file) (as docx file) and email to apfadmin@apfna.org.

Reports

We are requesting that all Community, Workgroup and Trusted Servant reports be emailed no later than one month before the start of the meeting on February 18th – so by the 19th of January.

At the 2014 APF meeting, we agreed by consensus to allow all delegates the opportunity to have read reports in preparation for the meeting, as pre-reading reports keeps all participants up to date and informed, and this practice improves communications.

We also agreed at that time that we could reduce waste, and so is not necessary to bring hard copies of reports to the APF meeting, since delegates will have the report electronically, or if required can print and bring their own copy.
